Some of our readers have fretted over which vegetables are best in the winter. We did a little research and found this list of veggies that seem to love cooler climates. Specific crops and harvest dates will depend on your region’s climate and many of these are only available locally in temperate regions. If you happen to live south […]
Isn’t this a beautiful plant. Hard to imagine it was once a sweet potato. Home Design on Facebook posted the instructions for making this plant by taking potatoes that have “sprouted” and ‘rooting’ them in water to eventually plant in soil. Pretty neat huh?
“I love experimenting with new soups!” ~Denise The recipe was very easy to put together and then it just simmered on the stove. My house smelled wonderful while it was cooking and later provided some much needed warmth in my stomach. If you love cauliflower and sweet potatoes, this is the soup for you! It is Vegan and very yummy! Enjoy. […]

Easily the #1 thing you must cut from your diet completely – if you haven’t already – is artificial sweeteners. READ PRODUCT LABELS FOR: Aspartame, neotame, sucralose, saccharin, acesulfame. […]
It’s one of the most important organs in your body and it works hard for you every day. Your liver. More than 500 bodily functions depend on it. It cleanses and removes bacteria from your blood. Now that it’s colder and darker in the morning a bowl of cold cereal just won’t cut it. We deserve a nice warm breakfast in our bellies and the healthier the better. Make this casserole, store in your frig and the following morning simply cut a piece and warm it in a toaster oven or a […]
Last fall we posted the instructions to make a candle from a real orange. It was originally published by Homesteading/Survivalism. We also posted another version on our Facebook page with cloves. I forgot about the cloves and wish I’d thought of them when I was making my own … definitely next time! Now that I’m a […]

On behalf of the Shepherd’s Center Board of Trustee I want to thank you for graciously coming to share with our community the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. All who attended were touched by the warm and gracious manner in which you presented “Seven Keys to Unlock Your Health Potential”. After your presentation many expressed desires to turn over new leaves regarding their eating habits and other issues related to health. It was a real pleasure meeting you, Denise and I pray God’s continued blessing on your life.Deborah
We are enjoying your veggies so much, they are the best! I would like to go ahead and order 1 or 2 of each flavor again. Thank you again for the best cultured vegetables in the world!Heather
Lou S.Thank you for the presentation you gave for our ladies meeting. It was informative, practical and eye-opening! You know the ladies received the message by the good questions they asked and the fact that they lingered to talk with you afterward. You are appreciated and gifted.
I recently had a Nutritional Counseling appointment with Denise. I basically needed some reassurance that I was doing ‘everything’ ok. Sometimes when we are not perfect with our daily consumption of food and supplements we think we are not making a difference. I explained my personal situation with her and she reassured me that I was doing a great job. Denise also provided me with some great advice that will help benefit my overall health both now and the future.Paulette K
